This morning we woke up to find that one of our butterflies had hatched! Perfect timing! Right on Easter morning! And just a couple of hours later a second hatched. (We're still waiting on the third).

Gah! That might be the creepiest dead mouse positioning ever.
Yucky! Hope your Easter is better than the mouses. :0)
McKenna, I love your blog! EEEKKK on the mouse find. So cool about the butterflies; maybe I'll hop over to have a look.

Oh my! both ends of the sprectrum, all in one day.
did you scream because that would have been my first response... I can't believe you thought enough to take a picture. You amaze me!
Hahaha we killed a mouse this weekend too!! I hate mice! I am glad that you got the sucker!! LOL
So I want to know how it tasted? You ate it for breakfast, right?
I love moments like this! The first thing that goes through my mind: This is going to make a great blog post!
Yay for pretty butterflies, ew for dead mice.
Hmmm, that happened to us a while ago. I felt bad because every time a mouse got caught in a trap, we had to listen to it squeaking to death.....we finally got smart and bought special sticky paper. Then we just took them outside and poured water on them so they could run off and live out their happy little lives in the field next to our house.
Oh dear! thats disterbing! But hope the rest of the weekend was good for you.
Ewww!! At least it was dead, right? How fun to have butterflies hatching! I bet the kids love that!
That would have been creepy!! I would have screamed..
you took a picture of it?! You're freakin' morbid! hahahaaa
Oh...that's so sad!
C'mon, if we have to look at the dead mouse, you should at least post a picture of the beautiful butterflies ;) ha ha. I hope you don't find anymore nasty rodents!
perfect post. bravo.
You are so morbid!! Why would you post that?!?!?!
EVeryone has said it all. Funny and sad and totally gross and the same time. Terrific.
Oh my heavens that is HORRIBLE! I had to enlarge the picture to make sure I was really seeing it right. I bet you loved that. It looks like that mouse gave that trap a run for its money and luckily enough lost. Hope you were still able to have a good Easter after that :)
Oh yeah I also meant to ask you how you are tied to Taylor Andrews Hair Accademy, I noticed you had them on your facebook.
This picture is still stuck in my head. How did the mouse not topple over? It had to weigh more than the trap, right?
I thought I was going to see a picture of a lovely, newly-formed butterfly. So thanks for the dead-mouse-in-a-trap bait and switch. *urp*
That. Is. Skeevy.
