This month is my month to teach sharing time in Primary. My counselors and I rotate each month and I really look forward to my turn. I love interacting with the kids. (At least on their good days.) So I taught today. Our theme this year is "I know my Savior Lives". And for the month of February our theme is "Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer". I have been so excited about so many things in Primary this year! We have new sharing time outlines that I just think are so, so awesome. The music this year is amazing! And, well, the theme is so perfect. I love sharing my testimony of the Savior with these kids. And teaching them to strengthen their own little testimonies while strengthening my own along with them.
Anyway, like I said. Today I taught our lesson. I had four picture placed around the room depicting events from Christ's last week on the earth. We read scriptures and discussed each picture, ending with this picture.

I read the kids a few verses in John about Christ's resurrection and invited them to come to the back of the room, where this picture hung on the wall. We discussed some things about Jesus' resurrection and then I pointed out the nail prints in the Savior's hands.
The lesson went the same in both junior and senior primary. However, something very special happened for me as I taught the junior primary. These sweet, pure, innocent 3-7 year old children gathered around this sheet of paper on the wall and stared in awe at this picture of their Savior. Then, one by one I watched them touch the picture where Jesus' scarred hands were.
Tears filled my eyes and a burning filled my heart as the Holy Ghost testified to me that each of us will someday stand before our Savior, Jesus Christ. We will touch the nail prints in His hands. And we will know without a doubt that He lives.
I hope and pray that when that day comes for me, that I will be as clean and pure as those perfect little ones today in my primary. I can not express in words the powerful spirit that I felt. I hope to never, ever forget what His precious little ones taught me today.

I just got home from doing this sharing time too and we had the spirit so stong in our ward as well. Especially in the junior primary. The kids were so interested and you could just see the light in their eyes. I have to admit, at first I thought the lesson was going to be too simple and the kids would be bored, but I was sure wrong! That was definitely an inspired lesson.
Thanks for sharing that and your testimony. Don't you just love that how even a 4 year old and their testimony of things that they done quite comprehend yet, can strengthen your own so much! What a great teaching moment!!
And I have been gone for like 2 weeks so I had to catch up on your posts, and I love the one where you are wondering about reading/deleting blogs. It is very true! And its ok i think not to read everyones all the time. But I just want you to know that yours is a blog I read on a regular basis because for some reason we are on the same wave length a ton of the time. You can relate to how I am feeling and you express it so well when I am just stewing about it! I just love reading it and always feel uplifted when I do! Luv you!
I really liked this post. It brought tears to my eyes. Honestly, sometimes it is the youngest children who remind us what it is we are supposed to be doing, and where it is we are supposed to be going.
Primary is such a special and spiritual place to be. I teach the CTR 6's now and I love being able to sit and watch the little ones listen and participate. Such a testimony booster :)

I love kids, and how easily they accept and love. I am glad that you posted this. I proud of you for "cleaning" out your house and blog. it's always nice to have a cleanse. I'm sur you deleted me... ;). I was going to my sister inlaws house and drove by your house on the way there and thought it would be fun to hang out with you. Oh McKenna, I hope everything is going well. Still can't wait to see your refinished furniture. I love befores and afters.
Ohhh thank you for sharing that Mckenna! It is way fun to see how much kids learn about the gospel at such a young age.
