Refinishing

I was up more than I was asleep last night. I hate that. Jack was wiggling and coughing and whining and wanting to be held all night long. Poor kid. And today he's acting pretty much back to normal! Yay! He had a good nap this morning and I'm hoping tonight will not be a repeat of last night. I hate watching my babies be miserable. And also, I like to sleep.

Anyway, I'm about to start cleaning and sanding and priming and painting two pieces of furniture!! Yay!! I'm so excited!! I don't have a ton of experience with this. Jason and I made a headboard years ago. It wasn't perfect, but it actually turned out pretty cool. And we redid a table. Well, attempted. We bought a table at DI and when we went to refinish the top realized it was laminate over mdf board. Ugh. So that was just a loss.

I've learned some things since then and have asked a ton of questions to some blog pros. I'm excited about how these pieces will turn out. I'm pretty confident that these pieces will be successes. So I'll be posting some before and afters later this week. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!

Oooo! Good luck! I can't wait for pictures :)

And I'm glad Jack is feeling a little better. As fun as it is to cuddle a sick child, it's tiring trying to take extra care of him and everything else.
